Meet Ben Ellison

Ben Ellison is a Wairarapa-based fly fishing guide and the owner of Trout Frontier Guiding. From rivers about an hour from Wellington to remote backcountry streams reached by helicopter, Ben plans days around conditions, access and the kind of fishing his guests want. His relationships with local farmers open private water and quieter rivers that see few anglers. Ben enjoys helping young anglers and newcomers build confidence on the water and learn to care for trout and their rivers.
